how to apply
Application to the Lucy Art Residency program is open to all visual artists working with the medium of photography irrespective of age or educational background.
All applicants can submit ONE PDF file to the email address
applications@lucyartresidency.com from 25/02/2022 until 07/04/2022 , 23.59 GMT. There will be no extensions to the deadline. It is preferable to apply as early as possible. This will allow for us to contact you in case there is any problem with your submission. NO corrections or updates will be allowed after the deadline.
The subject of the email should be SURNAME_NAME_2022 and the PDF should be titled SURNAME_NAME_2022.pdf.
If the subject of the email and the PDF file title do not match, then the application will not be accepted.
We DO NOT ACCEPT any other file format nor do we accept multiple PDF files. Any applications that include more than ONE PDF file will be disqualified.
The PDF should include the following parts:
Artist Statement
400 words maximum about why you are applying for this residency.
Short CV and Bio (Maximum one page each).
A portfolio section with a maximum length of 15 pages. There is no minimum or maximum number of images. Captions and short descriptions should be included.
Links to videos/films if relevant to your application. Please do not attach videos.
The PDF must not exceed 10mb
All texts should be in English
selection process
A long-list of artists will be selected by the team of Lucy Art Residency. The long-listed artists will be notified within two weeks from the applications deadline. All long-listed artists' portfolios will then be examined by the Jury which will independently select the winner of the residency for 2022.
